All personal details such as name, address and other personal information is collected inside a 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer).  A Secure Socket Layer, SSL, is the standard security technology for creating an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between anythinggift and you remain private and integral.

SSL works through a certificate, issued by a Certificate Authority (CA), that authenticates the domain. The anythinggift.co.uk certificate was issued by GeoTrust. We use Protx for your security and peace of mind. Protx is a payment service provider who process payments made by credit card and debit card in real time across the internet. We DO NOT store or have access to your credit card information.

All transaction information passed between anythinggift.co.uk and the Protx is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to anythinggift.co.uk from Protx are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the Protx servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

Once on Protx systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data Protx hold’s is extremely secure and are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
